Another Card for Runway Inspired Challenge - RIC4

Yey, it's Friday.  First, i'd like to wish everyone a very happy Friday and a great weekend.

Today, i'm sharing with you the easiest card EVER.  All you need is a computer with MS Word, a printer and a black gel pen.

I printed the word "THANKS" in MS Word, using font CAMEY.  You can download it free on Simply The Best Fonts.  Cut out the letters and set aside.  I then wrote the words "so much" on the cardstock.  I wanted to make sure i didn't mess up my handwriting before adding my rainbow THANKS.  Once that's done, adhere "THANKS" on the cardstock using foam tape.  Voila, a rainbow card!!  Thanks for looking.

Owls Valentine Card

I made this card for Hero Arts January 2012 and Moxie Fab World: Die Cutting challenges.  To create the red trim around the heart, i stamped the woodgrain image on a card stock.  Cut a heart shape using Spellbinders die then adhered a piece of red cardstock on the back.  Started cutting the red heart on the front using a craft knife like Fiskars swivel knife.  You don't need to make a perfect cut, because you can trim it with a small scissors.

I added some faux eyelashes on the girl owl :).

  • Ink: Rangers (distress ink: walnut stain)
  • Marker: Copic markers
  • Cardstock: Bazill paper (red devil)

CAS-ual Friday Challenge: project with scallops!

Inspired by all the beautiful scallop cards by the DT at CAS-ual Friday, i made this simple and quick CAS card.  Thanks for looking.

  • Clear Stamp: Technique Tuesday (sentiment: Love by Ali Edwards)
  • Punch: Martha Stewart
  • Gemstone: Recollections

Tuesday Trigger: By The Numbers

This challenge couldn't come in a better time because my little boy is turning 2 next month.  I'm inspired by the colorful numbers on this quilt and here's what i came up with for my son's birthday card

  • Cardstock: Core-dinations (oceanic)
  • Patterned paper: Me & My BIG Ideas (mambiSHEETS)
  • Dies: Spellbinders (circle), Papertrey Ink (#2)

I'm sharing with you a picture of my boys, taken last Halloween.  Connor (4y/o) was making a silly pirate face.  Nolan (going to be 2 y/o) often did dinosaur roaring while in his costume.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Valentine Card

I almost had time to submit this to Hero Arts' January challenge (first round), but didn't have time to take the picture last night... so second round it is :).  I am also submitting this card for Moxie Fab World challenges.

I cut 3 Spellbinder fancy tags from white cardstock, and glue them on top of each other.  This technique is learned from the fabulous Jennifer McGuire in the Clean & Simple Class.  I really love how it turns out.

The sentiment "much Love" is from Hero Arts.  It has an oval border around it.  After stamping it with black ink, i carefully wiped out the border and stamped on the Spellbinder fancy tag.  The pink background is distressed with spun sugar.  Thanks for looking, hope you have a wonderful day!!
