Monday Mood Board #19 and CAS(E) this Sketch #42

Hello,

I made this card for this week's Monday Mood Board #19 and CAS(E) this Sketch #42.

Here're the inspirations:

Here's my take:

Before going to bed last night, i looked at the MMB's image.  Today i sat down and created the card thinking the flower was orange... oops.  I thought of redoing it, but i kinda like the orange so i just went with it.  I used PTI Framed Out#7 and WPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals for this card.  Thanks for stopping by!

Tuesday Trigger: I'm Craving Navy and Monday Mood Board #18

Hello, how's your weekend so far?  My little 3 y/o is having a cold, so after waking up several times last night, I decided to stay up to make a card instead of going back to sleep :)

Moxie Fab World and Monday Mood Board are having a navy theme challenges.  Here're the inspiration pictures:

I was going with Nautical theme, but I just remembered I've never played with Embroidered Bouquet stamp set, so I had to try it out.  I inked it with WPlus9's white pigment ink.  This is the BEST white ink i've ever used.  The details showed up beautifully on navy background.

My take:

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful afternoon!

Runway Inspired Challenge #ric41 and a Moxie Fab World: Birthday Card Challenge

This week, I have sometimes to play along with the super talented ladies at Runway Inspired ChallengeThis week's challenge is this gorgeous dress by Zac Posen (love him on Project Runway show).  Also, CAS(E) this Sketch #40 is incorporated into the design.

Here's my card

To create the flowers, I heat embossed a piece of cardstock with tiny flower background by Stampin' Up and distressed it with Ranger Distressed Ink Tattered Rose.  Then I die cut the flower (PTI die) and distressed the flower with the following colors: Worn Lipstick, Barn Door, and Aged Mahogany.  Worn Lipstick didn't show much after Aged Mahogany was used, so I think I would have gotten the same result if I skipped Worn Lipstick.  The sentiment is handwritten using a black sharpie.

Closer look:

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Inspired by the beautiful bold and graphic images on Monday Mood Board, I created this birthday card using my new favorite stamp set, Fresh Cut Florals.  Also enter this to Moxie Fab World: The Birthday Card Challenge and Seize the Birthday.  Thanks for stopping by.

Papertrey Ink December 2012 Blog Hop

Hello,

Hope you've had a happy holiday with family and friends.

I made this simple card for Papertrey Ink December 2012 Blog Hop.

Here's the inspiration:

My card:

Also submitting this to Simon Says... Anything Goes!

Supplies:
Stamps: PTI (Signature Greetings)
Dies: PTI (Turning a New Leaf)
Paper: PTI (white)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

CAS-ual Fridays: CFC70

For this CAS-ual Fridays: Black & White Plus One challenge, i used negative die technique to show the color.  Black card stock is cut with the bigger flower die, and pink card stock is cut with the smaller flower die.  Tape the black card stock over the pink one and both mounted with foam tape on top of a white card stock.  Black buttons and embossed white sentiment completed the card.

Thanks for looking.

Tip: Separate the 3 pink flowers when you tape them under the black card stock.  That way, you can adjust them individually and have a perfect line up for each flower

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI (true black, hibiscus burst, white)
Stamp: PTI (sentiment from botanical silhouettes)
Other: PTI (beautiful blooms II #3 die collection), Tsukineko (versa mark), embossing powder, buttons
